Day 3. Excursion around Absheron peninsula

petroglyphs - a kind of artistic "archive" of human evolution on planet Earth.
The "documents" of such archives are the first translation of the human "I" to the surrounding world.
The rocks of Gobustan are not only the brightest witnesses of the prehistoric period of human existence. They have reflected the history of this region for almost 15 thousand years - from the end of the Upper Paleolithic era to the Middle Ages.

14:00 - 15:30 Part of the Caspian Sea, called Absheron, is another focus of Azerbaijan's sights. There are medieval watchtowers, fortresses, castles and temples - famous monuments of history and culture.
The excursion route passes through the village of Surakhani, where the Temple of Fire-worshipers is located, as well as castles in Nardaran, Shagan, Ramanakh, Mardakan, and others.
Suharan Temple of Firemen - Ateshgyah - a cult architectural complex of ancient civilizations of Sikhs, Hindus, Zoroastrians, built on the site of inflamed exits from the earth's crust of natural gases. Today's open-air museum, Ateshgyah, originated in the 17th-18th centuries as a fire temple. More than a decade ago, he was given the status of a historical and architectural reserve.

Day 4: Breakfast in Baku / departure to the mountainous regions of Azerbaijan / stop in the city of Gabala

Breakfast is the most important meal, because it provides us with energy for the coming day. The traditional breakfast for the Bakunians is fried eggs and tomatoes. This is a favorite dish of local people in combination with hot national bread - tandoor, fragrant mountain honey, butter, black tea with thyme and lemon turns into a delicacy.
Now it's time to get acquainted with the regions of Azerbaijan, which are remembered to visitors with their originality and authenticity. After breakfast, the group travels to the mountain regions in the north-west direction. The road runs through the picturesque surroundings of the Greater Caucasus Range.
On the way to the ancient city of Gabala, the group gets acquainted with the village of Lagich. Upon arrival in Largich - visiting the local historical and ethnographic reserve, located in the mosque "Agolu" with an exhibition of more than 1000 valuable antiques.
Local people weave unique carpets, make copper utensils, jewelry and household forging.

Excursion in Sheki
Sheki is a city with centuries-old history, the former capital of Sheki Khanate and the center of silk thread production. Among the important sights of the city are the Khan's palace and a mosque, a fortress, several caravanserais and others.
The city is named after the names of the first settlers, the ancient Saka people. Over time, the "Saka" was transformed into "Shaka", and then - into "Sheki".
The tour will pass through the palace of the Sheki khans, which is a monument of history and culture of world importance, a museum that is part of the Yukhary Bash reserve. The building is beautiful, monumental, with painted walls and mosaic windows.
At the end of the tour - a trip to the villages of Kish and Marhal.

Day 6: Sighnaghi - Tbilisi

In the evening dinner in the national restaurant with a folk show (optional).
